To our amazing hosts!
Hey there! It’s another two months’ worth of host letter with two months of winners…
First off… a reminder. We do NOT run tours the week of July 4th. Because a large number of hosts, readers and authors take this week off every year, we find that stats go way down. So, the two of us also take “vacation”. That’s in quotes because we’re actually still around, we just don’t run tours that week. We’ll be there to answer emails, send out tour information and invitations, etc.
As always, we’re actively looking for more tour hosts, so if you have any blogger friends, let them know you love working with us and they should, too! To have them become a tour host, they can fill out the form at this link.
Only a few things to address this time around. First, there’s been some misunderstanding regarding the “daily comment” option on the rafflecopter. Our intention was never that folks comment on the same post every day, but that each new day’s post gets visited and commented on. Because of this, we’ll be changing the description there to include something like this phrase: “Your entry is for leaving one original comment on each new post for the tour, one comment per tour stop (unless you are responding to a response on your comment or something the author said). Please do not leave multiple comments on a single tour post.”
Also, apparently when google updated their google doc form, the way the link shows up for the information download has changed. It’s caused some problems with hosts who opt to download instead of making things easier. FYI, If you sign up for the one day book blast and opt to download the material for the site, please scroll back up to see the link once you hit submit. For some reason, Google doesn’t take you directly to the link information, so it looks like the page is blank.
As always don’t forget, you can VOLUNTEER for tours that meet your needs, either by subscribing to the Goddess Fish Promotions tour blog to see new tour postings as they are posted (never miss a new tour!), following the RSS feed or just by checking the top where we link all the open tours.
Remember: We award a $10 Amazon GC every week to one lucky host. EVERY HOST who posts on time that week will be entered if they miss NO posts for that week. You earn an entry for every stop you host, but if you miss even one for the week ALL entries for that week’s drawings are nullified. The prizes will be sent automatically each Wednesday.
Also, every single review only tour has *at least* a $5 Amazon GC prize for a host, and most have other prizes. Don’t overlook review tours as a chance to win more prizes! Just ask our hosts who win regularly…
And, one last reminder before I announce this month’s contest winners: all winners below must CLAIM their prizes. If you win, you’ll need to email us and claim the prize or you won’t get your winnings. To claim your prize – please email us at email@example.com with “HOST PRIZE WINNER” in the subject, and your name, the prize you won and the tour it was for in the body. DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS EMAIL TO CLAIM YOUR PRIZE as it might be overlooked. You have one week from the date of this email to claim your prize or it is forfeit.
We drew two winners of last month’s Graphic Design Giveaway (see down below for more details on this host only contest). Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with “HOST GRAPHIC DESIGN WINNER” in the subject to claim your prize. The winners are:
Queen of All She Reads
Sharing Links and Wisdom
This month’s SURPRISE CONTEST!! As always we have a few folks we’re rewarding with a contest we don’t announce in advance. We’ve been paying attention to the folks who cross post their reviews in a timely fashion (preferably the day of their post, but at least by the time the tour ends). This is super important to us and the authors, so instead of two winners, we doubled up on the prize. We put all the names into random.org and pulled one—the winner of a $10 Amazon GC is:
Fabulous and Brunette! Please email us to claim your prize.
You never know when we decide to reward good behavior. Will it be you next month? Do you retweet? Like/share Facebook posts? Do you help us when we need urgent help? We pay attention and will be doing something unexpected every month. But… you’ll never know what behavior will get a reward!
REMEMBER! We are going to be offering another giveaway for our hosts – we’ve noticed many of you use the basic blogger header (which just has your blog name and nothing at all graphic-wise). Additionally, it’s possible even those of you with great blog headers would love another kind of graphic … maybe a social media header or a banner to advertise your blog. Therefore, we’re going to be drawing one name every host letter to win a graphic design creation of either a blog header or social media cover. We’ve recently hired a new graphic designer and she is really amazing. We want to share her talents with you!! There is one “catch” – you have to have hosted at least four tours for us the previous month (that’s only one a week, easy peasy). To participate, complete the rafflecopter, here: http://www.rafflecopter.com/rafl/display/28e4345f2356/ – closes July 2nd.
Now… to our regular contests! Remember, I’m doubling up this month to make up for missing last month’s host letter. Next month, we’ll be back to normal (I hope!):
